Tofu Hamburg

Tofu Hamburg

½ medium onion, chopped finely
1 block medium-firm tofu
1 egg
8 tablespoons bread crumbs
½ teaspoon salt
A dash salt and pepper
2 tablespoons dried hijiki
1 tablespoon corn starch
2 green onions, minced
1 teaspoon bouillon paste (optional)

Instructions:

1.       Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.

2.       Form the tofu mixture into patties.  Heat a well-greased (ideally non-stick) frying pan, and on medium heat brown on both sides until cooked through.
